Our vision has always been to enable people to live healthier lives. We take this to mean body, mind and soul so it’s only right that we work hard to support social development and health research. There’s the big stuff, like our ongoing partnership with the incredible charity Teenage Cancer Trust and the smaller charitable events and tie ups we regularly engage with. Whether with our staff, our suppliers or our customers, we’re proud to be helping people live healthier lives. We've been supporting Teenage Cancer Trust for a few years now as they help to make better lives for young people with cancer. Eat with us and give a little too…

Pod and Teenage Cancer Trust

How it all began...

When our team votes were counted a few years back, Teenage Cancer Trust were our clear favourite when it came to choosing a partner for our Charity Christmas Menu. That year our Christmas recipes were more popular than ever as customers were automatically donating between 10 and 25p to this great cause through their festive feasting.

We've really enjoyed it too...

Christmas at pod has been brilliant fun ever since… For six weeks, we dress up and give away tasty treats whilst our customers generously give up their loose change to fill our charity collection boxes. We also host ‘pod charity buskers’, a collection of up-coming musicians doing their bit to help and spreading musical cheer through the season.

What we pass on...

That’s just how it started…since then we have continued ongoing support though sales of pod water, donating 5p to the trust for every bottle sold.

What They Do...

For the past 25 years, Teenage Cancer Trust have been the only charity dedicated to providing expert treatment and support from the moment people hear ‘cancer’. They change the lives of young patients by designing new treatment units, hosting nationwide education programmes, running marathons, sourcing youth workers or coordinating celebrity fundraising events. Now a global leader in the field of young cancer care, we’re proud to be one of their trusted partners.

What Else do we do?

We also like to do our bit by supporting other worthy causes, such as by donating some of our delicious food to local raffles, or engaging our teams in charity fun days. We recently supported ‘Wear a Hat Day’ to raise money for Brain Tumour Research and during London Coffee Week collected for Project Waterfall, a charity providing clean water to coffee growing communities.

Supporting causes in sync with our own vision is something we love to do, like sponsoring the Hacking Happiness annual summit, celebrating the intersection of entrepreneurship, technology and well being to expand creative minds.

We spread our knowledge to youngsters, through regular visits to another partner of ours: St Mary Magdalene Academy. Some of the team visit students at St Mary's each time we introduce a new menu and when the children are not cooking, they’re being educated by the pod team on the benefits of a healthy balanced diet, for a nutritious start to life.
